Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North Constituency, Hon. Justice Joe Appiah has expressed disappointment in His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for bad energy policyfor this country.
He made this statement in relation to high charges of power yesterday 3oth May, 2016 in an interview with Eno Nana Opoku Agyeman on ‘Eboboba’
“It is very difficult paying for something that you did not use; and looking at the current economic situation if you are to pay for something that you did not use, that will be unfair.
He added that, government must pay its debt owed the electricity company of Ghana to enable smooth running of ECG.
On the contrary, Akwesi Godwin, a communication team member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) thanked the president for putting a stop to ‘Dumsor’.
He said, energy is one of the top priority to the government and will do his best as a leader to extend electricity to villages and remote areas.
This is a clear indication that the government is on course as far as energy is concern.
